This 1956 Chevrolet Corvette was acquired in the early 1990s by the current owner’s father, who subsequently commissioned a refurbishment. The car was refinished in red with white coves over red vinyl and is powered by a rebuilt 265ci V8 featuring dual-quad carburetors that is paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Equipment includes a beige convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, windshield washers, seat belts, a heater, an AM radio, bucket seats, and a twin-cowl dash with a dash-mounted rearview mirror. Work in preparation for the sale is said to have included rebuilding the carbs and replacing the fuel tank. This C1 is now offered in California by the seller on behalf of the current owner with the owner’s manual, refurbishment records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean Arizona title.

The 15″ steel wheels wear covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with whitewall tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs. Braking is handled by drums at each corner. The shocks and brake lines were replaced in the mid 1990, and the rear wheel cylinders were rebuilt in 2001.

Equipment includes seat belts, a heater, a floor-mounted shifter, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The analog clock was converted to quartz and repaired in 1993, and the signal-seeking AM radio was restored the following year.
